Fighting for Veterans — With Insider Knowledge the VA Doesn’t Want You to Have
After seven years in the U.S. Navy and nearly a decade processing claims inside the VA system, I’ve seen this fight from both sides. I know how claims get denied. I know what the VA looks for — and what they’re counting on you not to know. That’s exactly why I joined Tucker Disability Law: to put that knowledge to work for veterans, not against them.
Understanding Your Journey
Military service gives you a perspective that can’t be taught in a classroom. I served as a Boatswain’s Mate Second Class (BM2) and earned my designation as an Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist — so when a veteran sits down with me and describes what they sacrificed, I understand it in my bones. I’ve lived the culture. I know what it costs.
After my service, I went to work as a Veterans Service Representative — first at the Veterans Benefits Administration, where I processed and evaluated claims from inside the system, and later at the Texas Veterans Commission, where I spent over five years advocating directly for veterans trying to navigate that same system. Before that, I worked as a Service Representative at the Social Security Administration, giving me a firsthand view of how both the VA and SSA evaluate disability claims.
I’ve sat on both sides of this table. That experience is what I bring to every veteran I work with at Tucker.
How I Help You Win
My role at Tucker Disability Law is to make sure no veteran gets lost in the process — from your first call to the day your benefits are approved. I support the VA legal team by managing client communications, keeping your case moving forward, and making sure you’re never left wondering what’s happening or what comes next.
What I bring to your case:
- Deep familiarity with how the VA evaluates and decides claims — from the inside
- Direct experience with Veterans Benefits Administration processes and rating systems
- Working knowledge of Social Security Disability claims and SSA decision-making
- A veteran’s understanding of military culture, service records, and what matters most
- Clear, straight communication — no bureaucratic runaround
Making Real Change Happen
I’ve dedicated my career to veteran service in and out of uniform. As a VSR at the Texas Veterans Commission, I worked hands-on with veterans who had been denied, underrated, or simply didn’t know where to turn. I’ve helped veterans understand what their claims needed, what evidence was missing, and how to navigate the appeals process.
Joining Tucker Disability Law was the next step — working alongside a team that fights all the way to the finish line, with the legal firepower to back it up.
My Commitment to You
When you work with me, you get:

- Honest, clear communication at every stage of your case
- Someone who knows how the VA thinks — and how to counter it
- Consistent follow-through, from first contact to final decision
- A team member who won’t stop fighting until you get what you earned
