GI Bill Extension: Extra Benefits Available for Veterans Who Reenlisted

Did you serve multiple periods in the military? You might qualify for a significant GI Bill extension that could add 12 months to your education benefits. The VA has just announced major changes that could give Veterans with multiple service periods up to 48 months of total benefits. Keep reading to find out if you qualify and how to apply. 

Understanding Your New GI Bill Benefits

The VA has updated its policies to better serve Veterans who reenlisted. Previously, if you served multiple periods, you had to choose between the Montgomery GI Bill and the Post-9/11 GI Bill, capping your benefits at 36 months. That restriction is now gone.
